Running App Export Manager and App Manager on a Win2k3 SP2 32 bit server with XenApp 5.0 (4.5 really) with R05 rollup and neither tool thinks XenApp is installed so neither will run...What gives?

First, please ensure that you're running the latest version.
Then, this message can appear if you're not a full Xenapp Administrator or if MFCOM is not running properly.

Indeed there was an MFCOM problem. Access Management Console would not run when discovery was pointed at it either. Re-installed .NETs, recreated the XML listener and bounced the MFCOM service and it works now.
