Has anyone encountered or know of any issues with exporting apps from a XenApp 4.0 farm and importing them into a XenApp 5.0 farm using the App Export Manager tool. Is it OK to be doing this? Should it only be used for same Citrix version import/export of apps. I want to confirm there is not a possibility of Data Store corruption by doing this. I have tested it and it appears to work fine, just want to be sure it won't corrupt the DS in the long run.

Dear Beholder,

It should run fine, except for example Icon linking that should be set manually (because the property is not present on 4.0 but is in 4.5 HRP 01 and beyond).

I've not heard (or encountered) any corruption because of the tool.
