Hi Pierre,

Firstly I think the tools you provide are great.

I am using the XenApp Cloning Tool and the Configuration Plugin and have a slight issue. I am finding that the plugin will not run and do the additional tasks. I do see the following message recorded in the event logs, No Provisioning Server Image Detected, Skipping All Tasks. Strangely enough the Cloning Tool does detect the server image and apparantly runs fine. Just wondering if you had seen this before and what was I missing?? Also is there any documentation available for these tools.

The environment is Windows 2003 R2 XenApp 5.0 and I am using the latest versions of the tools for the XenApp servers. These are all running on XenServer 5.5 and provisioned through Citrix Provisioning Server.

Any help is certainly much appreciated.

Kevin.

Dear Kevin,

Thanks for your feedback.

This behavior may occur if the "Execute Only within shared images" option is enabled and the plugin is unable to detect the image type you're running on.

What version of Provisioning Services are you using ?

Best Regards,

Pierre

Dear Pierre,

Thank you for the prompt reply.

This indeed did resolve the issue. I reconfigured the plugin to not use this option and the additional tasks are now running as expected. We are running Version: 5.1.1.2950

Thanks once again.

Kevin.

Dear Kevin,

My Demo Center is running PVS 5.1 SP1 on XenServer 5.5 and I am not able to reproduce this issue in shared or private mode.

I'm also deploying XenApp 5.0 FP2 (HRP05) on Win2K3 R2

If the option is enabled, then the tool will run fine in shared images and be disabled in private mode.

This message should appear only when running on master target (boot from hard disk).

Best Regards,

Pierre
