This could be cause by the datastore containing a partially corrupted application (Applications are enumerated at XenApp App Manager Setup).

MFCOM is not able to handle this correctly and throws a exception, whereas Citrix Console will work normally.

Try a dscheck /clean or dscheck /full apps /clean and see if it helps. If that does not help contact me by using the Contact Form for further debugging
